Flō provides Water-Source Heat Pump (WSHP) rooftop units, vertical self-contained units, and modular air handling units with capacities ranging from 2- 230 tons. We offer all of these units with mass customization or the ability to configure the features and options of the unit at the factory to meet nearly any application’s requirements. These products may be used as makeup air ventilation units or single zone VAV units with variable capacity cooling and variable speed supply fans.

Air source heat pumps can provide energy efficient cooling and heating with no ancillary natural gas or electric heat. This is a more efficient method of heating than electric resistance heating because a heat pump can reject more heat to the space per the amount of energy used. Thus, the operating costs of heat pump heating are always less than the operating costs of electric resistance heating.

[/col_content][col_content title=”Geothermal Heat Pump (GTHP)”]

Geothermal heat pumps use the constant temperature of the earth as the exchange medium instead of the outside air temperature. A few feet below the earth’s surface the ground remains at a relatively constant temperature. Depending on latitude, ground temperatures range from 45°F to 75°F. This ground temperature is warmer than the air above it during the winter and cooler than the air above it in the summer. A geothermal heat pump takes advantage of this constant temperature by exchanging heat with the earth through a ground heat exchanger.

The energy recovery wheel option can be provided in all model sizes allowing reduced equipment size and operating cost savings while pre-conditioning the outside air being introduced into the conditioned space. Sensible only or enthalpy wheels are available to meet the humidity control requirement of the system. Segmented polymer wheels allow for easy cleaning. Aluminum wheels are also available for application that require aluminum construction. Bypass dampers can be selected for full economizer operation.[/col_content][col_content title=”Energy Plate Heat Exchange”]

Cross-flow fixed plate heat exchangers save heating and cooling dollars by pre-cooling, pre-heating, and humidifying the ventilation outside air (depending on ambient conditions). Cross-flow fixed plate heat exchangers have no moving parts and can also improve indoor air quality by eliminating cross contamination. Sensible only or enthalpy fixed plate heat exchangers are available to meet application requirements. Fixed plate heat exchangers are available under 6 tons.[/col_content][/two_cols][two_cols][col_content title=”Demand Control Ventilation (DCV)”]

Your store’s refrigeration system expels waste heat at the condenser rack. This recoverable energy is reclaimed and put to good use by a DOAS+ with Adaptive Multi-Path technology and could provide year-round benefits. Flō Energy Solutions’ unique technologies maximize the benefits for all types of refrigerants, including:
