Bryan Elliott, P.Eng.
Chief Executive Officer
Bryan is a serial entrepreneur, philanthropist, and creative inventor whose relentless curiosity led to the development of numerous technology patents. As the co-founder and CEO of Flō Energy Solutions, Bryan’s deep-seated personal values—faith, truth, freedom, love, justice and strong moral character—set the foundation for how Flō does business. He has proudly built a company steeped in these positive values and with a strong purpose to create solutions that are good to food retailers, people and the environment.
An avid reader who always has at least three books on the go at any one time, Bryan is set to publish his debut book, a faith-based perspective on overcoming trials and tragedy and how to live a life of purpose, passion and freedom. Not one to waste time between projects, he is already working on his second book, co-writing a novel with his daughter focused on the central theme of fighting for your family.
Bryan holds a degree in engineering from the University of New Brunswick. He serves on several Boards of Directors including Transform World Canada and Eastgate House of Prayer and is the co-founder and Chairman of Bee Me Kidz, a non-profit organization that aims to boost self-worth, education, resiliency and community to school aged children and their families from lower socio-economic areas. Admired for his tireless work ethic and sense of adventure, Bryan once spent two months cycling across Canada—From New Brunswick to British Columbia—experiencing some of the most breathtaking scenery and meeting incredible people along the way.
Steve Toth
President
A master craftsman in the art of organizational management, Steve is known for his ability to generate the greatest long term business value without undermining short term performance. Case in point: while serving the world’s largest brick and mortar retailer, Steve’s leadership helped the company grow at a CAGR of 21% over five years.
Steve honed his skills at Arkansas’ John Brown University, where he graduated with a business degree focusing on organizational management. With over 30 years in the industry, Steve has spent this time perfecting his trade in organizational design and implementing operating strategies.
Heavily inspired by the skills and knowledge involved in traditional craftsmanship, Steve has been able to transform his career inspiration into a fascinating hobby. In his spare time he builds retro industrial furniture. In fact, he’s designed and installed the furniture and fixtures for two local restaurants and is currently prototyping a custom off-road overland camping trailer designed to withstand the harshest terrain imaginable.
Barbara Elliott, P.Eng.
Vice President, Sales
Barbara is a creative sales veteran who was born for the role. After all, she grew up with a father who spent his entire career in sales and who inspired her passion in the industry.
Highly regarded for putting customer relationships first, Barbara specializes in sales strategy and leadership, growing companies and identifying untouched opportunities for system improvements. She holds a degree in chemical engineering from the University of New Brunswick and has spent the past 20 years dedicated solely to HVAC and industrial sales, finding innovative ways to help companies address their business challenges and improve their bottom line.
An adventurer at heart—and an aspiring novelist—Barb makes sure to live a life worth writing about. On weekends, you can often find her in the studio creating one-of-a-kind pottery pieces. And when she’s not on one of her travels exploring the world with her family, Barbara is an animal rescue advocate, welcoming rescue dogs from across the globe to start their new lives in Canada; dogs like her very own beloved dachshund Andy, a well known fixture at Flō.
Rick Wilson
Director, National Accounts
By taking on the toughest challenges, inspiring others to think creatively to find better solutions, and using his experience to make gutsy decisions, Rick is helping to make the grocery shopping experience better for all.
Rick is a logistics expert with a knack for managing complex supply chains. He leads a team that has quietly become the go-to for solving food retail’s seemingly impossible or expensive energy efficiency challenges. A certified Professional Logistician, Rick has devoted his entire career to finding solutions to problems in the food retail and CPG industries.
His ability to fix just about anything doesn’t stop at work, though. In fact, he’s spent countless days and nights building a classic Jeep from the ground up and doing major remodelling at several homes. Other days you’ll find Rick testing out new Linux operating systems, building computers for his kids or playing with new tech. Next up: using his advanced DIY skills to build a competitive off-road vehicle – Baja here he comes.
Daljeet Jagdeo (DJ), MBA, CPA, CGA
Controller
Calm and in control, Daljeet has established a reputation at Flō for streamlining processes and being forward-thinking. She is responsible for all of the company’s accounting and finance operations as well as internal controls and compliance management in Canada, the U.S.A. and Mexico. Skilled in leading process improvements, statutory compliance and implementing ERP and financial systems, Daljeet has played a vital role in building a sustainable business model concentrated on creating future growth opportunities.
Outside of work, Daljeet supports up-and-coming accounting professionals by mentoring CPA students. Most recently she partnered with Brock University to provide international students advice and guidance on career progress. She’s also developed a new passion for gardening, a hobby she enjoys when she’s not busy throwing birthday parties or acting as the primary gift shopper for her family.
Daljeet is an active member of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario and is a recipient of numerous awards, including the Award for Excellence in Accounting by the Certified General Accountants of Ontario (CGA Ontario). She is a graduate of Laurentian University with a Masters in Business Administration and of George Brown College.
Peter Reist
Director, Sales and Product Strategy
If being a bass singer in one of the world’s top ranked a cappella groups isn’t impressive enough, then how about developing one of the building industry’s most sophisticated and successful IoT controls system.
That’s Peter in a nutshell—a dynamic free thinker and one of the brightest minds in the field of specialized HVAC solutions for food retailers. Backed by an honours degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Toronto, Peter has built a reputation as a technology trends thought leader. His research and work is focused on what’s next in refrigerant technologies as well as the latest in indoor air quality (IAQ) and dedicated outdoor air systems (DOAS).
When not at work, Peter continues to put his creativity and engineering prowess to practice. He is the inventor of the single leg bunk bed and has recently begun welding sculptures and other, unnamed creations.
