Canada’s largest Retail Drugstore
Canada’s largest retail drugstore chain is leading the industry in convenience with its aggressive expansion into grocery. Concerned that humidity control could become an issue with their plans to create more diversified zones and an open sales area in their existing footprints, the retailer engaged Flō to design and test an efficient climate control system before rolling out the solution nation-wide.
The value proposition was strong as Flō was able to consolidate their units. This resulted in HVAC unit quantity and capacity reduction, humidity control, waste heat recovery—a standard benefit for supermarkets but new to drugstores—and reduced energy use while meeting their stringent return-on-investment threshold.
